IWC's glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) manufacturing facility in Isando, Ekurhuleni, is one of a handful of GRP plants in South Africa, offering the design and manufacturing in-house of GRP products and undertake custom GRP fabrications relating to the cooling tower industry including fan rings, slurry GRP cooling towers, distribution launders and troughs, inlet louvers and the like. Today, IWC also undertakes on-site GRP piping repair work as well as corrosion resistant linings.
IWC specialises in the design and manufacture of Freestanding GRP cells and GRP liners for electrolytic and electro winning metal refineries, GRP scrubbers, cooling towers, process vessels and GRP storage tanks; and the design, manufacturing and installation of GRP piping and fittings from 25mm up to 2500mm in diameter, GRP ducting, GRP overwrapped thermoplastics and fluoroplastics such as Polypropylene, HDPE, PVC, PVDF, PFA, ECTFE used for pipelines, fittings, tanks, process vessels, ducting, stacks, etc. They are also experts in Polypropylene, PVC and HDPE vessels and piping and underground storage tanks for petroleum storage.
