Grounded Landscaping is a Johannesburg-based landscaping and garden design company that specialises in indigenous gardens. We focus on attention to detail in all undertakings, from design through to installation and hand-over of your garden.

Design & planning are important parts of any landscaping project. Before setting out on a project we first meet with you at home or on site to ascertain your needs and the vision you have for your garden. We then take detailed measurements of your home or the current site, and photograph the area to ensure we capture a complete picture before entering our design phase. If available, your site or house plans aid us in matching the measurements we have taken to the projected design, and if you're able to, providing us with a preferred budget helps ensure our designs remain appropriate.

Here is a typical example of our process flow, from our first meeting with you, through design, costing and installation, to completion of the project:

First meeting: 30 minutes to 3 hours
We meet with you on site to ascertain your requirements, take measurements and photographs, and attain a copy of your house or site plans if available.

Design and costing: 2 weeks
A creative process involving the development of a detailed design based upon our discussions with you, the measurements and photographs we have taken, and your preferred budget.

Presentation of the design and costing: 1 hour to a week
We present our preliminary design and discuss with you the layout, costing, plants, hard-landscaping elements and any changes you may require.

Installation!
Your garden installation can take anything from a few days to 6 weeks+, depending on the size of your project.

Post-installation meeting and handover: 1 hour to a day
A walk through of your completed garden, with discussions around plants and maintenance, and any other questions you may have
